Proud to share with you the professional performance of OPCA member Bullocks Freightmasters International.
They have recently completed a part charter from Fremantle to Durban.
This project was a 12-month process from their first initial quote to the final shipping arrangements due to the cargo being required for refurbishment and required for a gold mine project in 2020.
The following posed challenges such as vessel delays, extension in laycan dates, changes to traffic warden / pilots:
- Due to the location of the cargo, they required to complete a full route / traffic management survey.
- Traffic warden was deployed due to the weight and size of the cargo.
- Trailers used to handle movement via road.
- A contra flow was applied for transport once departing the shipper’s premises due to turning onto incoming traffic.
Their consignment consisted of 2 x 95T & 2 x 112T ball mill shells, along with 15 x SOC Containers, 4 x crates @ 35 Tonne each and 16 crates of accessories, overall consignment of 57 Items, 845MT, 2685CBM.
Prior to vessel's arrival, Bullocks team was engaged to purchase SOC equipment such as flat racks and 40ft GP Containers, loading and lashing of OOG cargo onto 20ft and 40ft flat racks, survey of cargo and necessary crane lift operations at the clients premises.
Loading operations completed over 3 days in Fremantle Port and a transit of 13 days to Durban.
All discharged without any delays in Durban for final delivery to the client in Johannesburg.
They finally would like to thank all involved in making this project a success!
