    Good News...

    Proud to share with you the professional performance of OPCA member Bullocks Freightmasters International, Australia.

    Bullocks Freightmasters International recently handled a LG1750 - 750T Liebherr crane from Bremerhaven & Zeebrugge to Fremantle. The consignment was shipped via WWL with the assistance of their load port agent Holland Freight Bridge.


    Overall 41 items, 1800cbm / 600 tonne of cargo shipped
    1 x Super Structure Dual Lift @ 63 T

    All cargo was delivered on time to Fremantle and over 30 trailer loads were used to deliver the 400 km journey from Fremantle port to site located North of Perth within a three-day period.


    Over the last twelve months, Bullocks Freightmasters International has had the opportunity to handle numerous cranes from Crawlers, Rough Terrain and Franna’s; both domestical and international.

    The Canadian Ministry of Transport has inaugurated a new breakbulk terminal at the Port of Trois-Rivières, Québec.

    Located at Dock 9, the terminal includes new outdoor storage areas, warehousing and upgraded road and rail access. The Port of Trois-Rivières Authority invested C$10 million in the project with a further C$17.3 million from government.

    “The industrial fabric of Trois-Rivières includes several businesses that will benefit from the new breakbulk terminal. It also supports the implementation of the Industrial Port Zone whose commercialization work is well underway. This infrastructure could not have come at a better time,” said Julie Boulet, minister for the Mauricie region.

    The new terminal is expected to improve competitiveness for shipping on the St. Lawrence Seaway and meet demand from heavy manufacturing companies in the region. It will be operated by Logistec, one of largest port terminal operators in North America.

    Good News...

    Proud to share with you the professional performance of OPCA member Freight Connection Pakistan Pvt Ltd.

    About Project:

    The Project has been awarded to provide logistics services to re-export 2 of total weight 86 tons (43 tons each) from Islamabad to Mersin, Turkey via Port Qasim. Freight Connection Pakistan Pvt Ltd's scope was not only limited to ocean freight but conducting cargo survey, arranging and loading of both crane on trailers, transporting from job site to Port Qasim.

    FCPPL completed customs clearance and hand over the cargo to vessel in shortest span of time; customs clearance was completed in half day from the date of all cargo passed in at port. All cargo was handed over to carrier under hook according to shipment terms. They have booked the shipment through regular liner container vessel. Their operation team was there at port 24/7 to supervise the loading and ensure no damage was reported during loading.

    Total container shipments at Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) jumped by 27 percent in the first six months of fiscal year 2018 over the same period last year.

    For the period from October 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018, the port authority handled 634,460 TEU.

    JAXPORT’s Asian container volumes continued to grow and were up 16 percent in the first six months of the fiscal year, with 209,803 TEU moved. During the past five years, JAXPORT recorded an average of 21 percent annual growth in Asian container volumes.

    The port authority’s Puerto Rican volumes surged by 40 percent with 375,633 TEU moved, up from 267,827 during the same time last year.

    In early February, the federal project to deepen the Jacksonville shipping channel to 47 feet began construction.

    The project was launched after a decade of study, independent review, public input and full regulatory approval.

    Once completed, the additional 7 feet of water depth will allow the largest container cargo ships to call on JAXPORT carrying more cargo.

    OLA Groups has recently successfully moved 2 units of Rotary Drilling Rig ZR280 from Shanghai Port to Malaysia by break bulk. Each main body of the machine weighted 42 tons and measured 15.85 x 3.05 x 3.15m.

    Before and during loading operation, OLA Groups team duly boarded on the vessel to carry out the loading / lashing / securing survey. Finally, the cargo was smoothly and safely loaded and stowed on lower tweendeck.
