Arklow Shipping's latest newbuild mulitpurpose vessel, Arklow Cliff, has been launched at Ferus Smit's Westerbroek yard in the Netherlands.

Arklow Cliff is the fifth vessel in a series of ten that Ferus Smit will be delivering to the Irish shipping company.

The vessel has a maximum hold volume of 220,000 cu ft (6,229.7 cu m) and a carrying capacity over 5,000 dwt. It features a single hold and an 1A iceclass notation.

According to its website, across its offices in Ireland and the Netherlands, Arklow Shipping provides logistics and transportation services for project cargoes and offshore structures, offshore and landline pipes, bulk grain trades, dangerous bulk cargoes, steel rails, minerals, containers and general cargo.
