Gothenburg-based shipping company Swedish Orient Line (SOL) has expanded its fleet with three ice class 1A super roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) vessels built in 2006 and 2007.

The company said that it has taken control of Transpulp, Transtimber and Transpaper, all three of which are time chartered to Stora Enso, a provider of renewable solutions.

Shipbuilding firm Damen is to deliver an ASD Tug 3212 from Vietnam to the port of Manzanillo on behalf of Mexican maritime operator Grupo TMM.

The TMM Colima was manufactured in Damen’s Song Cam Shipyard in eastern Vietnam. It will join Grupo TMM’s fleet of 42 vessels operating at Manzanillo port.

Damen Shipyards Group operates 32 shipbuilding and repair yards worldwide. The firm is headquartered in Nijkerk, in the Netherlands, and employs about 9,000 people globally to deliver around 180 vessels annually.
