Good News...

Valued OPCA members Titan Cargo NV, Belgium and Fleet Line Shipping Services (L.L.C), United Arab Emirates have recently worked together on a successful project!

They have come together to tackle two Steel structures measuring 18.6 x 4.70 x 4m – 32 tons & 14.40 x 4.50 x 4.2 m – 15 tons respectively. Whilst Titan Cargo was responsible for securing the business with their European client, FLS undertook the full logistics responsibility and successfully loaded the frames with Hapag Lloyd.
 
FLS, first, transported 18.6 meters long steel frames in two batches from RAK to their facility in Jebel Ali free zone where their ISO and QHSE accredited cargo securing team have bundled and secured/lashed the cargo together. This created cost effective freight by optimizing the space on the ship.


 
This is a classic example of teamwork by like-minded people where innovative ideas are allowed to flourish. The unbreakable support from carriers through years of collaboration allowed guaranteed space and loading in these testing times. This created a perfect win-win situation for all the stake holders including our valuable customers.



Both of the companies joined OPCA a few weeks ago and they worked in great cooperation.

Glad to share with you the professional performance of valued OPCA member BATI NAKLIYAT VE TICARET A.S., Turkey.

The BATI Project team has successfully moved RIBS (Rigid Inflatable Boats). RIBS are a relatively new technology in the yacht industry and they also look good. Therefore, a lot of yacht owners who want to cruise during the day choose RIBS. BATI Project Team moved a lot of RIBS this year.  The last one was produced in Italy and shipped from Milan to Tuzla, Turkey via road. This boat is 14 meters long and 4.2 meters high. She was loaded in Mid-January and delivered to the final destination.

The BATI Project Team has successfully undertook a Running Wheel Shipment from Ankara, Turkey to Port Sudan. The shipment was 4.35 meters high and 7 meters long. Loading took place at the factory under the supervision of BATI Project Team on site.

The BATI Project Team has successfully performed an important operation in the late 2020. About 1,000 tons/14,800 cbm project cargo together with some containers consist of pipe rack modules, spreader beams and lifting equipment have loaded on MV Sophia to the destination Itaqui Port. BATI Project Team has managed preloading and loading survey for the cargoes including oversized pipe racks and structures with about 19 meters length and 7 meters width.

The BATI Project team completed another succesful project shipment in the late 2020. This time, the team has loaded flatpacks and containers to Mombasa, Kenya. They have performed vessel agency, loading and lashing of 288 units of flatpacks together with 30 container onto M/V Unisea at Mersin Free Zone. The total shipment was 2150 tons and 7000 cbm.
