Glad to share with you the professional performance of valued OPCA member POLARIS SHIPPING AGENCIES LLC, United Arab Emirates.

Polaris Project team has successfully completed another interesting project recently. It was the delivery of apprx. 750 MT/2300 CBM of seamless tubing ex Japan to United Arab Emirates for one of their regular MNC clients, which is part of several lots being handled by Polaris.  Their scope included receiving of tubing’s at Port Hamriyah in accordance with suppliers strict handling guidelines, tally and supervision, segregation of any damaged pipe which could be visually identified in coordination with attending surveyors and shifting to Port Storage yard.  

Tubing was later delivered to consignee once their site was ready to receive with Polaris also covering scope of discharge of tubing’s safely at their yard.

They do expect additional four more similar lots, delivery scheduled to be completed by March 2021 under the same contract.

Once again, Polaris delivered on time, meeting the strict handling process required.

Glad to share with you the professional performance of OPCA member MARINAIR CARGO SERVICES INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORTS LTD, Greece.

Our valued Greece member MARINAIR have brought the first electric bus from a trial series to be added to the Greeks Transit System. Managing Director-CEO at Marinair Cargo, Pavlos Poutos advised us that the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport has informed that the government plans to acquire 1300 buses, including around 400 electric buses. They will first evaluate several models to see how they perform in the center of Athens and other areas.

MARINAR coordinated the import of the bus from Antwerp, Belgium to Piraeus, Greece. It is an E12 Electric bus of 12.17 mt long, 3.3 height, weighing 13400Kg, and has 35 seats. They handled the reception and import clearance of the bus from port and its delivery to the final destination.

MARINAR is an experienced freight forwarder handling special vehicles and oversized shipments.

Glad to share with you the professional performance of OPCA member POLARIS SHIPPING AGENCIES LLC, United Arab Emirates.

Polaris Projects were awarded with a time sensitive project shipment of 20 units of Ammann soil compactors ex suppliers yard in Ahmedabad, India to UAE which was delivered on time meeting given strict deadline.

Considering non availability of regular liner roro vessel to meet the schedule, subject Ammann ARS122 rollers with shipping dimensions of 546 x 226 x 303 CMS (LXWXH) weighing approximating 13200 kg each was carefully stuffed into 40’ High Cubes after dismantling the canopies to reduce the height.   

Knowing the time sensitivity of the shipment, Polaris arranged for one of their senior staff to fly down to suppliers factory irrespective of the Covid-19 restrictions to ensure that the operation is fine-tuned and well-coordinated.    

Their scope included positioning of empty containers at suppliers yard, coordinating stuffing of rollers, all FOB operations, ocean freight up to Port Jebel Ali and door delivery to receivers after fixing back canopies to original condition.
