Project cargo firm ALE has completed initial load testing and rigging for its AL.SK350 heavy-lift crane.
The crane is the world’s largest capacity land-based crane and will be used for a floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) module integration project in Brazil.
“Now we have completed our final testing, we are looking forward to the first lifts,” said Cees Segeren, AL.SK350 design team member.
ALE will use the AL.SK350 crane to lift and install about 40 modules onto the P-74 FPSO vessel in the South of Brazil. The crane features load moment capacity of 354,000 tonne-meters and a 130-meter-long A-frame design.
Headquartered in Staffordshire in the UK, ALE provides heavy-lift services around the world. The firm has more than 30 regional offices and focuses on heavy-lift projects in oil and gas, civil, nuclear, offshore, renewables, petrochemical, ports, marine, minerals and metals and mining.
